Wonderful Wifey and I had an absolutely wonderful time at MAPG.
Friendships are paramount! The eye candy at the vendor tables and the demos were top notch!

A huge thanks to all who organized the event, did the behind the scenes work and to Woodcraft/Richmond for donating the space for us to hang out!

Great Job MAPG!

Had a real nice time meeting some folks.

"Wow Mark, you don't look anything like what I imagined..."

Hmnnn... "Yup, shorter and uglier!"

The Committee did a great job. (I took notes).

Bruce,
You and your group did it again! Enjoyed all the activities and it was great to see friends from past events.

Curt Hertzog arrived in Richmond on Thursday, and my family had the pleasure of hosting him until his return to NY on Sunday. When not at the MAPG, we were in my shop. Curt re-ground several of my tools, gave me great instruction, as well as encouragement to broaden my turning projects.
He has skills beyond anything I will ever do, and is a great person to spend time with.

I trust everyone benefited as much from MAPG as I did.

So, how was the demo of the "Incredible Threading Machine". I haven't seen anyone talk about it. Was everyone sworn to secrecy?

Bruce gave us the "Nuts and Bolts " demo of the threading jig. I was sucking it up as I like to know how things work, what was used and the process of how it works.
It was a cool demo. Important to this jig is that it is designed to cut different types of threads depending on the cutter and also that it is built to eliminate backlash in the advancing mechanism!
Multiple start threads can be cut as well!

Looking forward to the write up Bruce. Wish I could have been there for the demo.

Thanks Charlie. I thought I remembered seeing an anti backlash nut in the teaser pictures that Bruce posted.
