Yes, folks, we had a full lunar eclipse tonight. You should still be able to see the tail end of it if 1) the sky is clear in your area, and 2) you hurry. For those unable to view it, or who didn't know about it, I took the liberty of taking a few photos. Granted, my little Samsung digital isn't the best, but you should still be able to get the idea of what I viewed. And I braved 9 degree temps to do it. BURR!!!! It took about 78 minutes to get all these. Anyway, for your viewing pleasure.

And I left this one a little bigger b/c when small the surrounding white space washed the moon out completely. You may still have a hard time making it out, but trust me, the moon is in there.

This won't happen again until 2010.;)

Yep, that's what I was hoping my digital would get. I could have used my Minolta 35mm but I didn't want to have to wait to get the pics developed. Nice shot, Steve, and thanks!

My wife asked me to take photos for her special ed class. She starts astronomy next week. I took the first at 9:00 and every 15 minutes with the last at midnight. Fortunately it was a very clear night for us last night.

Yes, it was great, wasn't it! I watched it for over two hours, going out about every five minutes. The dog and cats thought I was crazy! My family just ignored me as they know I'm nuts! [8D] Thanks for the great pictures!

Scott.

I watched the eclipse last night but it was too cold to take pictures through my telescope. Here are a couple of pictures, one is of an eclipse on 10/27/2004 and the other is Venus moving across the face of the sun on 6/8/2004
