I turned my first one of these things on Saturday with some help from a very experienced turner. It was green Apple wood and cracked in two places within about 3 hours. I turned this one on Sunday before I forgot what I learned. This is Paduak. The height is 3.25" and the top diameter is 1.75". These are a bit tricky but fun to turn.
