I decided I needed to make myself a new pen & retire that acrylic I've carried for the last 3 yrs. Woodcraft Euro gold. Used a lot & has never been refilled. Anyway, I had 2 snake blanks that's been looking to be turned & had bought some more expensive Euro. kits. So let's use the Satin Nickel with it. The bushings were same as new & on all the ones I've turned the match between blank & kit has been perfect. So, taking my time I made sure to get a 'Perfect' fit on this one. By cracky it's gonna be nice. Wet sanded to 12000 & 4 coats on Ren Wax. Fingernail check between the parts, right on. Assembled the pen. Wouldn't ya know it. The center band is a fraction proud of the blank. Ends perfect. Why couldn't that had happened on the ends, I could take it apart & build it up with CA. The Satin Nickel must be a little larger at the CB. Next time, the calipers will be used. In fact, I just bought a new didgital set Mon.
