Light hearted thought for the day

Sometimes... when you cry, no one sees your tears.

Sometimes... when you are in pain, no one sees your hurt.

Sometimes... when you are worried, no one sees your stress

Sometimes... when you are happy, no one sees your smile

But ...... Fart just one time, and everyone knows!

Gotcha!! You thought this was going to be one of those heart-touching stories!

Hah! Good one.

Reminds me of something I tell my undergraduates the first day of class. I remind them that cell phones must be turned off before they come thru the door. I also tell them about my hearing loss and how bad it is ... like, I don't hear cell phones.

Then I go on to tell them .... "so, if you forget to turn off your cell phone and it does go off during class. The fact of the matter is that I probably won't hear it. But, other students will hear it and they'll most likely turn around to look in your direction. When I see other students looking at you kind of funny ... I'm going to assume that you burped or ... made some other impolite noise ... not knowing that it was your cellphone."

Everybody laughs ... and cell phones never go off.
