I just had to post these pics. My son shoots trap and competes. He took first place in his division at this shoot. …for some reason, my wallet is substantially lighter!?

The first picture says it all… "Who is this kid??":biggrin:

Very nice - Be proud.

When I was 13 I started shooting competitive in the NRA Kids divisions. My Dad bought me a used Savage Anschutz (I think a match 64?) which I still have. Nice memories of time together.

I worked with a fellow back in the '80s who was winding down his 40 year career in competitive shooting. According to his stories, when you're staring out your wallet is always empty, but if you're good enough and the right sponsors grab onto you, you don't need a wallet. As long as he enjoys it, what better use of a youngsters time.
