The folks the other side of the mountain got record snow falls the last few days, close to 10 feet of new snow in some areas. Then it started raining! Several families have lost there homes in both communities when there roofs caved in and there is another system on the way.

Little healing light and hope for them would be appreciated!

Younka

There is a ton of back country stuff up here that is mind blowing. Alyeska resort is one of the best deep powder slopes I have ever seen. Most of the snowmachining photos I have posted were from Hatchers pass the area has both mixed slopes and hike in only areas. I have towed a lot of snowboarders up slopes high and steeper than 90% of the slopes I saw in the lower 48.

Glad your enjoying it.......I hated California. I'd get up and look outside "75 and sunny again! Damn what I wouldn't give for a thunder storm!" Then we got one! Rained for half a day, folks lost there homes when the hill side slid into the ocean and our apartment flooded! We packed and headed north as soon as the water receded.
