I found my muse while frying a turkey for Christmas dinner. Frying a turkey requires that you drink a beer while sitting outside and watching the fryer. As I was watching the fryer and contemplating my beer I had an inspiration for a turning project. Turns out my muse is Ninkasi the goddess of beer.

I turned a shell with a recess for a beer coozie. I need to refine my design a little since my beer sets a little low when I press it all the way in.

The shell is really nice Cody. It looks like an enjoyable project. Well done.

In spite of my favoring Bourbon, If I buy a 6 pack of beer at Thanksgiving, I'll toss 4 of them the next Easter; just never acquired the taste.

Got to be careful of those "goddesses," very intoxicating. Zeus and Leda were a thing you know. If any swans appear in your area, get out that pea-shooter!

Great idea! I like the contrasting top ring.
Isn't it interesting that we get these ideas when we aren't thinking too hard!

Is there a hole in the bottom to push your can out...or does it not fit that tight?

No hole, it's a snug fit. Might have to think about a hole on the next one.
