Hi Jim, from what I can tell we are prepared. Most people are in shelters, most of Southwest Florida in in a flood zone. We have enough food, water a gas for the generator to last for days if needed. We have about 20 people and 10 dogs and 2 cats here at work. We are as safe here as possible. The kids are are playing the animals are well behaved and the Adults are worrying and waiting. I will keep you posted.

It was not as bad as we thought it would be. No storm surge. Water in the road from rain. A lot of trees down. We have a generator running for power. Later today we will try to go home and access the damages there.

My cousin lives in Boynton Beach, FL. They made it OK but basically the whole state is without power. They might have to throw away anything in the refrigerator. Her husband went for a short walk around the apartment complex. Lots of trees down. He went over to look at a car that had a tree on it to make sure there was no one in it. A lady came by and said it was her car. :frown:

We heard from good friends in St Pete Beach, first floor on the Inter-coastal Waterway. No water, no damage and they were surprised to find their power on--said it goes out often in normal weather.

For the moment, I think we'll continue to only go for 10 days or so in the winter!!
