Default Hurricane Irma

We are in the path of Irma. We are sheltering at my work. It's raining and windy now. We had a barbecue last night and had good night with good company. The waiting is the worst, now we wait..... Updates to come.

Hi Jim, from what I can tell we are prepared. Most people are in shelters, most of Southwest Florida in in a flood zone. We have enough food, water a gas for the generator to last for days if needed. We have about 20 people and 10 dogs and 2 cats here at work. We are as safe here as possible. The kids are are playing the animals are well behaved and the Adults are worrying and waiting. I will keep you posted.

We made it! We have no power, a little street flooding, and a lot of branches down. This was the longest day of my life......
Tomorrow we will try to go home and see how the house made out. We were as prepared as much as we could.

Default Hurricane pictures

It was not as bad as we thought it would be. No storm surge. Water in the road from rain. A lot of trees down. We have a generator running for power. Later today we will try to go home and access the damages there.

Glad to hear you're OK. Praying the damage to your home is not very extensive.
