I bought a 5 lbs. grab bag of blanks from Woodcraft. This blank was among them. As a rough blank it was pretty non-descript; just a dull brown blank. But, once turned and finished this orange, grey, brown and yellow grain appeared. I have never seen anything like this before. The picture really doesn't do it justice. Does anyone know what this is?

I hope this doesn't come off as snarky. Definitely not meant that way but maybe this will help. I didn't think there was another blank, but there was.

Left is Osage Orange (Bois d'arc here in Oklahoma) and right is the wood I don't know. They are not even close.IMG_1558.JPG

The color and grain resemble some Black Locust I've turned, but if it came from a store grab bag, it could be just about anything.
