Ok so today I was turning down 8 slim line Damascus pens and started to laugh at myself. as all of you know the slim line pen has a nominal dia. of .330" and eash barrel half is 2.125" long. so why did I laugh? I was turning them down on a 16" south bend. dare I say "overkill" the plus side was I did it in 2 passes. First cut was .100" and finish cut was .070" leaving me roughly .008" for file, and sanding to 2000. the pics dont do the scale justice. in the last pic I put a barrel half on my QCTP for reference. I hope you all find it as amusing as me.

Cool. So at least it's not just me. Sanity still in check. Oh and FYI the Walter inserts leave a great finish. I used to start belt sanding at 36gr and work my way to 2000gr. Now I can start with 220-360gr. Pics of the pens will come after I bake the coating on for 3hrs and then assemble.
Thx for reading and keep those comments coming I love em.
