I have a golden plum in the pasture behind my house. It produces little yellow plums about the size of cherries. My cattle herd of 3 eats them faster than they can fall. I have to admit they are good.
This tree has more twist, turns and wood growing in every direction. It has to have a lot of burls and figures. I have had my eye on this for many years. I think this would make good pen blanks and other small items. I hope this tree is on its last leg so it won't be the one cutting me up.

I understand your temptations . Adding a giraffe to your pasture might hasten the process . A goat might help if a giraffe isn`t readily available . As a guess though , because it is a yellow plum , the wood might not have as much pink in it as a red plum .

Send me some pits if you can pry a couple out of the cows mouths! My wife loves plums of all kinds, and I'd like to take a shot at growing a couple, since I need to replace a few dozen of the trees I had......

BTB, I am serious!
