The desk clock the BF turned from the same blank as his bowl... the cut-off from cutting the flat for the base is the pen stand. I couldn't waste a millimeter of that beautiful wood! :)

Now that is very nice. Simple and elegant. Great colors in the wood and I really like the crevaces. GREAT WORK!

Let me know when you recovered from the "trauma" dealing with this wood. I managed to "unearth" some of my manzanita stock. LOL

Hi Nancy,

I love the texture in the pen stand, it feels real...and the pen looks awesome as well,, this has more apeal to me than a standard all in one desk set...again, wonderful to see...[:)]

I have two big ones and a few smaller burls.

The biggest is about 40 pounds and the next one is approx 30+ pounds [:D]. The small ones usually don't have as much color so I am not even looking at those.

I saved these since I cannot cut them with a bandsaw (only chainsaw) but dug them up to tempt you (and your BF) LOL [}:)]
