Hey all,
I was thinking back on my pen early making and remember meeting a guy who had a pen booth set up at a festival in St. Charles, MO probably 8 years ago or so. I had just turned my first few pens and went to admire a booth full of beautiful pens. The guy running the booth was very friendly, explaining some of his processes and letting me try out many of the various kits he had on hand, since all I knew were slimline and designer at the time. Though it took me several years from that meeting to really get into turning pens, his friendliness and willingness to share has been very helpful even years later.
I hope that person is a member here, as everyone's willingness to share their knowledge and experience on here is similar to his. If that booth owner was you, thank you for helping me along the path into pen turning!
