Went to Hartville Hdwre tonight to get some KV8450 soft close drawer slides for an entertainment unit I am building. They seemed to have every other stye KV makes but not these.
So, I pick up some soft close slides with no name brand on them but they have Hartville Hardware Inc on the label.
I asked if they had a display set up with them so I could see how difficult the pull force was, no display BTW. KV says theirs has the least pull force.
Anyway, the sales associate tells me they come from the same place the KV slides come from. I doubted that but I bought them anyway.
They are made by a Taiwan company called Repon.
From what little I could gather about them they seem to be a good slide.
Anyone ever use them?
I'll also be sure to tell the sales guy next time I'm in that he is full of it!

If they're Taiwanese, then your odds are pretty good. I just ordered 5 sets of no-name 100lb ball bearing slides from Amazon, hopefully they'll be satisfactory. I don't know where the ones I ordered are from, but I expect it will be China.
