I was cut from a 5X5 stick he sold me. I still have most of it, just hacked a piece off the end. I am thinking about a hollowform vase for the rest of it. The top shape is like the winged bowls I do, just longer. I thought it would help show the natural points on the back edge.

Interesting edge treatment, I like it. What finish did you use?
Can you imagine how many pen blanks you could have taken from that blank? LOL I think that is the reason I basically stopped turning bowls...pens use a lot less wood!!! [}

If you check my album, there is a Chinese Tallow there with a similar shape (not the edge though).
