I needed a piece of wood about 2"X 2" any thickness. I always look for nails, screws, etc. None showing so I cut on the band saw and it started out ok and then I knew I run into something. The saw slowed down and it went for over an inch at the slow speed then it speeded up and I finished the cut. There was 2 halves of a screw cut lengthwise right smack down the center. If I had tried to do this on purpose there is no way I could have done this good of a job. I am enclosing a picture. I clamped the 2 pieces of wood together showing both halves.
