My 14 year old Grandson is coming out for spring break, he wants to make pens. He also wants to make a Cryptex on the lathe. I saw YOUTube video but not to sure of the dimensions. Does anybody know where I get a set of plans to down load. I have all the tools and I will get the proper blanks at Woodcraft of Rockler. I have another project for him Changing the mounting bushing on the steering rack on my Toyota Tacoma Double Cab, he is interested in working on car so he might as start on his back, I will be under there with him. He doesn't know it but he will be working his truck when he gets a little older. It is also in my will just in case.

You will have a happy Grandson in a couple years, providing you hand him the keys personally.

I remember an article in the AAW magazine a few years back about them but don't remember how much detail it contained.
AAW = American Association of Woodturners

Teach em young when it comes to cars. I was machining heads in my dad's shop when I was 13!! I'm just a natural born gearhead
