We have had about 9" of snow over the past 2 days and I was real surprised when I spotted 25 to 30 Robins in my backyard this morning.

I put out birds feeders this Fall for the first time ever, and I've see robins weekly since December. I too, was surprised at first, not realizing they do not migrate from here, they just are not in the yard searching for worms. The biggest thing that increased the numbers of birds we get coming to our yard is water. I put in a heated birdbath. I've had finches, robins, sparrows, and even a woodpecker, all at the bird bath at the same time.

My best customers are the blue jays. If I do not throw out peanuts by about 8:30, they are in the tree by the back door screaming at me. I've also had them at the back door, looking in. :)

I've also gone from 2 squirrels to 5. They are so fat our parrot calls them "kitties". (We used to have dogs, and a cat, so he considers outdoor critters either puppies or kitties.)
