Butcher Block(cutting board) kits????

Can anyone suggest where I might find some nice kits?? I have seen some somewhere but can not find them anywhere now. I thought it was in WOOD magazine. Looking for some plans to make like a maple and walnut cutting board. Thanks for any help, Mike.

I'd be curious to get feedback from others here, but IIRC Walnut might not be the best choice. Walnut can cause allergic reactions in some people, and if part of it were to get into the food (granted, it would be trace amounts), it might be hazardous.

Lee Valley sells the heads and tails for cutting boards. I suggest hickory and maple for cutting boards.
That being said, I have seen cutting boards with paduk, walnut, yellow heart, and purple heart accents. Just list what it is made out of if you are selling it. If the buyer has a problem, you listed it.
