I made this bracelet display stand for my mother in law. It's spalted hickory, natural edge on the base, I just took the bark off and shaped the rest. Only took me about 2 hours, start to finish. I had no idea what I was going to do, when the wife asked me to put one together. Even she said this was NOT what she expected. Well, neither did I, it just kind of happened.
Critiques are welcome, but I just felt like sharing...

I like the general idea and the form is clean and well balanced. Maybe a little too bulky for most ladies dresser tops but that's an opinion (mine). I'll have to show it to the wife and see what she thinks. I'm wondering how a few coves would look though that would allow less items to be hung than your design.

I'm sure your mother-in-law will love it...good job.

Thanks for the comments. It was actually designed to be a dual purpose display. My MIL sells some of my wife's jewelry at work, and if she want's to display it there, she has this, if she wants to use it at home, it's good for that, too. But you're right, it did turn out a little big for a dresser.
