Just had my 1st blowout w/ a rattlesnale blank. Are there any simple, easy saves or do I chalk this up to a hard learned lesson?
The end is chipped to the skin plus a crack across the blank.

I think that, no matter what you do, the crack will still be visible. You could try to carefully clean the resin off the blank, then re-cast the skin itself if you have any PR. Or, if you're not in a rush, send me the cleaned-off blank and I'll try re-casting it for you next time I do some (may be a few weeks).

Doubt that you can save it. And cleaning off the resin is hard to do without hurting the sking. If you have resin I would just glue up another blank and recast.
