bass making

A recent picture posted of a custom made bass guitar was great. As a bassist myself, it has inspired me to perhaps take a swing at one myself. I've looked up on the process, and I think I could do it if I had what I needed, but what I don't know is where to get quality componets such as tuning heads, pick-ups, a bridge, etc.

another good source is Music makers. I've made several fo their instruments. You can get nearly done kits, just the bits and pieces kits and just plans/hardware in any configuration you want. I THINK the website is musikits.com.
