Default Attened my first Woodturning Chapter meeting.

Well first off, bunch of friendly people. About 12 members here at the midland,tx chapter. It was a little ironic as I've been turning about a couple dozen pens lately and was hoping to get to learn something different. They had a demonstration today and it turned out to be pen turning. Lol Anyway, after the demo, I met with a couple guys that gave me some pointers on returning back to a small candydish bowl that I'm wanting to finish. They also had a raffle and I won three 12" Box Elder pen blanks. That was a nice plus! So it looks like I'm going to join the chapter and have some fun.

Good for you Bobby. The meetings I have attended were very informative. And, the friendships that develop are an added benefit.

I agree with Mark plus we have a light assortment of snacks at our meeting with contributions accepted. We not only have top woodturners but top cooks, too.
