Around the world

I sometimes come here and marvel at how much this site reaches out and touches so many different people around the world. It is one thing thinking oh well he is from one state or another state but when you realize people here are half way around the world in Australia, UK, Switzerland, and so many other places it gets mind boggling. Yet we all come here with the power of the internet to rehash our adventures into a simple artform such as pen turning. Then you get to realize it is the same no matter where you go. Maybe some different materials used but we all can talk the same lingo because the basic hobby is the same throughout the world. Where we have come thanks to the internet and who knows where we are going, but for now we get to enjoy each other by typing on a keyboard. Amazing.

We have certainly come along way. I can remember when My High School got one computer. Most of the students didn't know what it was. Now they all carry them around with them. It is truly an amazing time.
