Anyone in the Florence, OR area?????

My son is being transferred to Florence, OR this summer and is having trouble finding a place to rent for the amount the Coast Guard alots for housing expenses. Is there anyone living in the area that might be able to help him locate a house or apartment?
He has been searching Zillow and Craig's list (not a good idea because of the scams) with no luck. He has also been in contact with a real estate agent with no luck there yet either.

He can try apartments.com, might also google apartments in the area and call them directly to see if they are expecting openings. That is what we did when we moved back to Portland.

Tried apartments.com also with no success. I'll mention to him about contacting apartments directly.

Doesn't the Coast Guard have people that help out with that. If not, try the VA.
