A customer gave me this piece of wood, I have no idea what it is. we were in Ruidoso New Mexico. I believe that is where it came from. It looks like it might have been a post, not sure. It is very dry, it turns and sands nice, almost like Olive wood but maybe a little harder. It has nice color and grain. I put some water on one side , don't know if it helps or not. turned blanks with the grain ans cross grain, don't know if that helps either. If you have an idea or guess please let me know. Thanks!
