This sounds like one of the tactics used by the Russians when they tried to take over Afganistan. They dropped tons of little mines just like these that were shaped to target children. The big difference is that the ones used by the Russians would take off your hands and half of your face. NASTY Toys.

I don't know how many of you saw it, but there was a news cast about pens being converted into firearms. [V] I, for one, found this very disturbing. Not b/c of the gun control issue (I own several), but b/c I fly several times a year and my pens are with me. This will just cause more scrutiny, but I'd rather safe than run the risk of letting one on the plane.
