Angle cutting snakewood?

With all of the conversation about snakewood, I have been thinking about jumping in. I have about 50 bft. of 3/4 stock that has been drying about a year. Before I cut it into blanks, has anyone played with angle cutting these to see what affect it has on cracking?

I've been cutting for the last two days, I don't think angle/xcut will look as attractive as the normal straight grain.

Should I bunker down for competition?[]
