I was at a Dollar Tree store a few days ago. I noticed they sell hard shell cases for eyeglasses. They are 6" x 2-3/8". At the slight bulge in the middle, they are slightly over 1" high. The inside is plain lined with a felt like soft plastic. Of course, at $1 the price is right for a pen case.

A simple insert will convert this into a pen case. If the recipient does not care for a pen case, it could still be used for glasses.

Any ideas on this?

Practical in some way but somehow I think it will actually be a negative selling wise. I personally won't give someone a pen gift with such case [:D]

Dollar is also a lot more than what I paid for my pen cases (check group buy by Monty). So both ways it is a lose-lose situation as far as I am concerned.
