For those of you who are unaware of it... IAP has a

PEN COLLECTION !!!

(AKA- The IAP Collection)

Look here for more info: The IAP Collection

(Currently there are 53 superb pens; #53 has not yet been photographed and announced)

(One of my goals in 2018 is to have more of a regular presence for IAP members to
see the IAP Collection Pens On the Forum - Something I have not done a good job on).

So, for 2018:

1. The winners of the two following contests have the option to donate their pen to be included in the IAP Collection.
2. Contests: Ballpoint Pen; Pretty Wood.
3. If the winners decline, then the second place finishers will be offered the opportunity to donate their pen.
4. The option will not extend to the third place winners.
5. There will be no additional prize or compensation beyond what each winner obtained in their respective contest category.

Note: The winners have the OPTION to make this donation - it is in no shape or form expected. Previous winners have declined (i.e., the pen had been sold, etc), so there is precedence to decline and that is to be respected.

These were last years additions from the BASH:

We wish all the entries to the contests to have fun, and if
Fame, Glory and Inspiration to others
appeals to you, you may have the opportunity to be part of The IAP Collection.

After the BASH has concluded, I will contact the winners in the noted contests.

Note: So far the IAP Collection has been quietly making appearances at various gatherings (24 viewings/with a 30-45 minutes discussion):

Mark,
Personally, I don't believe anyone could have done more to show or promote the collection. You go well above the bar in everything you do for the IAP. From the collection, to handling the fund raising sale, to donations, etc. Don't talk yourself down. Let the rest of us strive to do as much.
(Just my opinion. That and a dollar will get you a soda at MickyD's)

How is it possible that the Collection came to Durham and I missed it?

Actually, I think I stumbled on this Eric. It was a quckie between chapters, but I did not publicize it well. I was hoping you got notified, but I suspect not.

Good news, I can always visit again. The Hampton Roads Chapter is close!
