This is my first try at a scalloped pen. I have so much corian I really wanted to be able to use it in a new way.
I used 3 colors, Sandal Wood, Dawn Beige and solid black.
the pen is a Black ty finish Barron.
I happened to have some black Veneer so I tried it and it worked really well.

My second angled segmented pen

On the 23rd, I posted my first pen with angled segments, this one has a metal (I thought aluminum, but, now may be galvanized steel by accident) separator. Thoughts and comments, and yes, I can handle critiques, please.

And what is the metal please??

Hi,
I just got back on the site this morning.
Corian is cut with normal wood cutting blades. A plywood blade works the best but is not necessary. Using a table saw cuts better than a band saw.

Corian turns about the same as a maple hardwood and MUCH easier that Tru stone.
. With a sharp tool and small bites it is very enjoyable to turn and can be glued with med CA glue.
You cannot beat the variety of colors.

That is really nice. How is the corian to cut?
