As an admirer of segmented blanks in general, and Ken Wines' artistry in particular, this pen is of special significance to me. (Ava: Signature Pen Supply; not a custom blank for me).

The interlocking pattern represents to me, the connection/bond between my "Trusty Shop Supervisor" and myself. I saved this blank for a few weeks, as I knew it would be needed soon.

After 14 years of sitting in my shop whenever I turned a pen, my buddy needed to be put out of her pain after battling cancer. The evening before, she for the final time "supervised me" turning this blank. The picture was also taken that evening.

Ken, thanks for a superb pattern - this pen will never leave me.

Mark, that is a beautiful sentimental piece. Well done and a great idea.
Thanks for sharing.
As my Max turns 15 in 3 weeks, I know his days are numbered as well. I know all of us pet lovers have a special place in our hearts for them and it's never easy saying good-bye to them. Our thoughts are with you.
