Juniper and pecan

These were made out of a fence post from the persons ranch ( cedar) and some pecan from an old orchard where he currently lives- both woods were kind of plain so segmenting seemed like a good use for them- I really didn't expect the cedar to have this much color.

Very cool. Yes, cedar is very pretty when finished. I don't know why it doesn't get more love around here. At least it isn't show that often.

I made a couple of pen holders out of the extra cedar- wish I would have gotten a picture of both of them...

Nice idea on the pen holder. This pen looks really good in it.
