Initial experiment.....

.......just testing the water on a idea I have not yet seen done, although I am still quite new to turning pens. I see some bright spots idea wise and am going to try and complete a nice pen. This is just a scrap of redwood to play with. I am thinking I can get the finished results I envision. Thanks..........Jan

looks intersteing, you may want to go ahead and drill and turn your blank to just above size before trying to do the inlay. I think someone once tried to do something similar and kept pulling the inlay out while turning. if its close to size you can use a 60 grit turning tool.

Keep thinking of new things, I like seeing fresh ideas.
