I'm wanting to find out the best type of glue to use in segments. Wood on wood and wood to metal. I've been using CA glue and it does good but sometimes they come apart. The photo is one I did with aluminum and it came apart one me

I've had the best luck on metal to wood with Gorilla glue. Wood to wood the same or just tire bond wood glue. Be sure to rough the metal up and clean it before glue up. Good luck I've found that even when you do everything right your still going to have some failures.

The aluminum heating up as you drill breaks down the ca and will do so for epoxy if it gets hot enough. Drilling metal accents glued to wood takes a very sharp bit. you can wrap the blank in string and coat the whole thing in supper glue to help hold it together.
