Been trying to achieve some sense of balance with these knots for some time. This one seems to have worked out. It's on black locust, with blue dyed maple burl on the ends. The knot is blue extra thick veneer.

Great job George. The pen looks really nice and I like the color combinations. Your next challenge ........make a little thicker inlay knot and then try a double knot !!:wink::tongue:

Very nice !!!! . I think the thickness is OK. . But I would say that laminating the material for the knot, to match the look of the laminated portions of the end caps, would be a nice touch. That might cause the thickness in the knot to increase, but that is OK.
