Experimenting.

So I'm not 100% happy with it because the line up wasn't the greatest and some of the joints aren't as tight as I would like - I'm thinking something like this needs to be on a pen kit that is more stationary. Does anyone have any advice as to how to segment something like this a little better. I'm happy with the experiment. Not sure I would sell it just yet. I would love to hear any thoughts and suggestions.

That being said, here is my first attempt at making an arrow segmented pen. Brazilian Cherry, East Indian Rosewood for arrow shaft, curly maple arrowhead, and Bloodwood/Purple Heart feathers.

Thanks - I use only the iPhone app and everything shows normal for me, so I am not exactly sure what you are referring to. I'm more than willing to figure something out.

Thanks! Just using the camera with good light - I made a light box for photos. I try to focus my camera at the center of what I want focused and it seems to work.

Also - instead of 'macro' I hold it back s little and do a 2x zoom. I'm not sure why, but I find it focused better when I do that...

Focal distance and depth perception On a camera it is adjusted using your F stops or aperture, for a pen suggest f9 to f12 .
This is if you are photographing in manual mode ..
One thing some people forget is minimum lens focus distance .
In other words the camera lens is to close and will not focus at that close of a distance ..

If you posted what camera you have and lens the I can look up what the minimum focus distant is for your lens ..

And that's the whole problem, there are many programs. Just like there are many ways people access different sites. I'm on my computer, and with the "resized" photos I can't enlarge the picture to see the fine detail that was the reason for the post in the first place.

I'm not sure what programs others use, but I can't even see an image in other posts might have something to do with links going to off site storage though. I have seen threads in this past competitions where others have this same problem. When people attach a file as a thumbnail it seems to work best. Pictures are visible and you can zoom if needed at your will.

But on my cell phone I can see pictures but other aspects are unusable. Such as when I do a search the pop up search box opens then slides off the side of the screen no matter what orientation I set my phone to or try to scroll over.

I also noticed the original post was posted using the iPhone Penturners.org app. Maybe that's where the problem is, compatibility between the mobile/desktop site.

I didn't mean to hijack the thread so John T. please feel free to move my comment and maybe the conversation between you and turn81 to the appropriate Site Help or testing thread as you see fit.

I do not even remember the question or problem. I guess no one else step up to help. I will be glad to offer my advice if something needs to be talked about. If the Op wants to bring this back to life. As far as people and their cell phones that is something you all have to figure out and not put us through it. Those come with huge books. stop and read them. I am too old to do a cell phone thing so I am of no help. Google is your friend. I also like to use Bing.
