Recently I have gotten to know a very nice gentleman by the name of Paul. He isn't on IAP yet (I'm working on that) but he frequents some Facebook groups I know that some of you are on as well.

In any case, he saw some of my Diamond Cast blanks I've been making and reached out to me about sending some for him to turn into his signature segmented blanks. I think the results are pretty awesome so I thought I'd share them here. :)

I love those too !!

I am wondering if he uses veneer for his thin wood layers.

Tim,

I think the pictures above could be posted in the dedicated "Segmented Pen" thread ... unless, of course, that thread requires a finished pen ... Mark would know.

Very nice. I want to say I like the third one the best but my eye keeps getting drawn back to the green one. Beautiful work, looking forward to seeing it completed.

Beauties, all of them. (I'm quite taken by the fourth - I might need to talk to you about one of your castings!) Often, the old adage, "Too many cooks spoil the broth," applies...this time, it looks like "just the right number of cooks made really great soup!"

I'll pass along the compliments and make sure he gets his rear over here soon. I'm torn on my favorite since I'm a bit biased but the Red Dragon and the Emerald are probably tied at the moment. I've got a blue blank very similar to the green that I'm sending his way soon and with my bias towards blue it may take the lead quickly.

Gregory - I'm flattered, let me know if I can help you out with anything! In this case it was definitely a case of great collaboration. Him and I hooked up when I traded him some of my blanks for one of his segmented ones and we've been kicking ideas around since.
