Eddie, have you ever looked to see if maybe the transmission holder from the lower body of a cigar could be pressed into the top of a casing and have the proper length for the refill?? It might be drilled tight enough for a press fit into the firing cap and allow the use of no tubes. I think that the cigar cap and parker refill would make a much better pen. Feel free to run with the idea~

I would like two(2)SHINY FINISH 30/06 + 2 rifle clips only. Kindly advise total and your PAYPAL and we're set to go. As a courtesy when shipping into Canada, please do not mention BULLETS in the declaration form but simply describe them as pen parts.

It is certainly doable. Here are a couple of examples:

These are built on a different kit (that also uses a Parker-sytle refill), but I'm sure the Cigar could be made to work with only minor modifications.

Eddie - are these new brass or once fired? I ask because I purchased some once fired and was not at all happy with the nice ding in the side of the casing :(

These sound great. I'll take two of the lacquered brass 30/06 please. If you have any nickel ready to go I'll also take one in nickel. I'll also email you thru the forum as a backup. Let me know your paypal info and we'll make it a done deal.
