In the February issue that just hit the mail box the other day. There is an interesting feature article on adjusting and using a small import type metal lathe to turn some wood projects.
Turning cylinders, flat precise cuts for lids that are suction fit, cutting threads Using the quick change tool posts with tool bits sharpened for wood tools. And still have the option of using it to make tools, fixtures and jigs for around the shop. His thin wall lidded boxes are something to see. Next issue he will show how he does it on a multiple walled box.
It won't be for everybody, but it is an interesting article. If you don't get it look for the mag @ WC and probably Rock.
