Private reserve two tone amboyna burl pen blanks

Like the title says these are two tone amboyna burl pen blanks I have been holding on to for a while. The two tone blanks make very artistic pens and often sell first and fetch a higher price. All these blanks are cut towards the outside of the burl where the figure is strongest. Also on many amboyna burls the sapwood layer is very thin limiting the number of two tone blanks each burl yields. The outer layer with the sapwood is also where checking ( some blanks have checking you can see in the photos) can occur further limiting the number of blanks in other words they are special blanks. Some are also very rare in the fact that they have a grey spalting that occurs in the amboyna sapwood. The blanks are numbered on one side ( i forgot to do it on the other side before wetting for the photos).


All the blanks are roughly 3/4 thick and 5 inches long some are larger. Number 11 is only 0.70 thick. Number 8 is only 4 1/4 long, #10, and 34 are only 4 1/2. I think you can see the quality of the blanks from the photos. I tried to take one picture on the side with the most heartwood and one on the side with the most sapwood.
Each pen blank is $18 bucks except for # 8, 10, and 34 which are 10 bucks.
Buy 6 or more for 16 each. Buy 10 or more for 14 each.

I also have up for sale on slab that is roughly 5 x 5 x 3/4 thick with almost all heartwood and one side sapwood if you wanted to make a special pen set, their is some natural edge and checking but lots of good stuff. $40
