as a norm I cut at 5.25x3/4 to be able to get 20 in a flat rate box unless otherwise specified.

Are the crosscut blanks stabilized? I see what appears to be some checking in them, and they look extremely fragile.

no they are actually quite solid I have sold somewhere around 150 with no complaints, and no not stabilized,, the end grains ones are more fragile of course and would suggest to be stabbed,, the long grain should be fine,, this is all coming from a cedar burl,, the actual burl part have lots of inclusions,, and maybe one out of 20 blanks I get one true burl blank from it, but the yellow/red figure it through out it all is pretty dang good.
