Bigleaf maple burl oversized blanks....#50

Hi guys, I picked up a really nice root ball of bigleaf maple burl. Below find some oversized pen blanks from it.

Pics show the "burl/eye side" and then turned 90 degrees showing rays. These could have some bark pockets inside and some visible on the outside. I believe any on these blanks could fixed with some CA.

I don't think there was any usable wood on that tree.

I hesitate to type this right out here in the open for the whole world to see but...I used to cut and log trees just like that...100 years or so ago when I was alive. ; ) An amazing experience looking back, wish I had taken more pictures.
