HELLO, NEWBIE HERE TRYING TO SELL A FEW FIGURED PENS. UP TO BAT ARE
5 BUCKEYE BURL AND 5 REDWOOD LACE BURL BLANKS. 3/4 x 3/4 x 5, SOME MIGHT BE JUST A TAD SHORTER OR LONGER.
10 PENS $45 SHIPPED. I CAN MAKE UP A FEW MORE IF NEEDED. I MAY BE A LITTLE SLOW IN RESPONDING UNTIL I'M UP TO SPEED IN THE LEARNING CURVE OF HOW TO GET AROUND ON THIS SITE. IF YOU HAVE SUGGESTIONS AS TO HOW TO DO THIS BETTER, I'M ALL EARS. CHEERS

They do look nice...anyone know how these would turn, not being stabilized. Would love to see an example. I'm new to pen turning and just starting. These look like they would turn out amazing.

I've turned the unstabilized buckeye burl, and it turned out to be a beautiful pen. It wasn't difficult to work with, you just use a light touch.

Got mine in yesterday. They do look great although at first glance, they seem a little dry, but I turned one of the BEB blanks and it turned pretty well. Had to fill in one of the eyes that was too deep...I kept seeing a flash of brass tubing...and added some of the saw dust as filler and looks great afterwards. They turned out VERY nice!


My only problem is I used the wrong bushing combination on the blanks. I can assemble the pen, but the tube ends do not match, so I'll save those and use them on another pen of the same tube diameter and will hopefully turn another BEB tonight with the correct bushings.
