I'm not convinced the WC version of Abranet is anywhere near as good as the original product. The first complaint I have is that it is difficult to determine which side is the cutting side as both sides feel pretty much the same unlike Abranet with has both a 'feel' and coloring to determine the right side to use. Secondly, I do not think the WC version cuts as well as Abranet.

The good news: you don't see as much sanding dust. The bad news: since you don't see as much sanding dust, it is likely not cutting as well.

The jury is still out in my opinion. I'll have to play with it some more.

I have used drywall screen for sanding wood and cork rod grips. Cork is soft and the screen will take it down real quick. However, there isn't a big choice in grits.
Due to the lack of interest, tomorrow will be cancelled.

I've got some of Peachtree's version--seems to work well, but I've not tried anything similar. Both sides DO feel alike, like you could flip it--BUT--the Peachtree has writing on the back in blue ink. If you flip it over, the blue ink melts onto your blank--shows up very well on maple. Don't ask how I know that!!
