A couple of months ago, I asked Ed if he planned on making any of the "Thank You For Your Service" kits in a different plating than chrome. I've never been a big fan of chrome. I'd also never ordered anything from him and he didn't know me from Adam. Two days later, he answered to check back in 60 days and there would be more platings.
I checked back periodically until last week, there they were. I bought 3 each of the new coatings. Got them 3 days later and turned one the next day. Was making a black chrome kit with cross cut mesquite ... oh well chipped the end. Put a blackjack oak trim ring on it and clamped it. Finished it today and it's great. Will try to get a picture to post on SOYP tomorrow.
The only thing better than this kit is the service I got.
