So back in May I purchased a General International Lathe Model 25-114. Last week it developed a squeal so loud, I put on ear muff to work. After some diagnostic examination I concluded that one of the bearings for the spindle had become bad.
I contacted General, told them of the issues a week ago. Minute response other than please send us the part numbers and your address. It would be at this point this post would be a Jeer. Yet without getting a return email from message General. I felt that it would be a wise to contact them with a phone call.
I talked to Claude Savaria Customer Service Rep. Within hours, I received a email with a notice that the parts I need are on the way.
So the moral to this story. If all else fails, a phone call is best.
