Jeer CSUSA Ink cartridge supplied with kits

Not sure if this should be here but it's a jeer to CSUSA in my opinion.
On my recent order I noticed that they are putting in the bulk plastic .005 Schmidt 888 refill with the Jr Statesmans and the Statesmans now. In the past there were the metal 5888 M refill.
I guess that's just another way to make a buck instead of raising the kit price.

I noticed the same thing, although in my 22k jr statesman, I received the metal 5888. For the blank titanium, I got the plastic 888.

When you say they, do you think CSUSA is actually doing this and not the makers of the kit??? Is this happening to those same kits handled by other vendors or did you not check on that??? Just curious how much research you have done on this.

For a while they started using Hauser refills instead of Schmidt which was unfortunate. This was on the JR Gent IIs. Hopefully not the case still. Personally I like the 888 as well as the 5888, no issues with either.
